This week brings the visit of local rivals, Cambridge to Silver Leys, with Stortford looking to prove that the 22-21 defeat in the reverse fixture in December - definitely one of our worst performances of the season - was indeed just "one of those days".
It could be argued that the visitors, technically not out of the relegation battle will - like Loughborough last week - have more to play for, but with a home game next week against relegated Fylde, Cambridge must feel pretty secure, despite having lost their last two games - at home to Esher and away to a seriously injury-hit Blackheath. Stortford for their part will surely be motivated by a big home crowd (over 400 booked in for lunch as a start!) and local rivalries to put in a good performance. With the weather set fair for running rugby, this final home game of the season should be a great occasion. COYB!!
