With the strength in depth we have this season, we were able to arrange 2 A Team fixtures for Sunday. Unfortunately Tabbards cancelled, so one of teams was left without a match.
The home fixture against Upminster went ahead and both matches were very physical contests.
With the pitch playing very heavy, it was never going to be a pretty match and most of the action was in the middle of the field. The Blues were deserved winners, after edging ahead and putting in some hard tackles in defence. The match wasn't the normal flowing rugby we prefer to play, but we are learning that there are different ways to win a match and we adapted to the conditions well.
Final score
BSRFC Blues 25 - 15 Upminster A's
The Whites are continuing to put in some fantastic performances, with leaders starting to appear in the team. The defence has been outstanding all season, but we are now starting to play some nice moves in attack, moving the ball across the field with some slick passing proving the difference between the 2 teams.
Final score
BSRFC Whites 35 - 15 Upminster B's
